Hi,
I wonder, how many people might be interested in a Vehicle Ops class?

I think if there is enough interest, Stan could get us a practice vehicle to work with. Here, for example, is what Tiger Swann covers in their 4 days course. I think a lot of it could be applicable to our individual circumstance. It's essentially a key component of any "Bug Out" plan that relies on a personal vehicle(s).
This course teaches how to plan and conduct low signature vehicle operations in medium to high threat environments. Students will spend the first 2 days learning how to conduct detailed planning and prepare vehicles for low-signature tactical operations. The remaining 2 days will focus on tactical shooting in and around the vehicle, rehearsing various drills and then culminate with immediate action drills and live fire scenarios.
Vehicle selection Vehicle prep (strap on armor, contingency gear, mission specific: assault v. recce) Disguises (at first glance scrutiny) Considerations and preparations for driving with Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) Load planning Communications planning Route planning/Falcon View/Navigation techniques Battlespace coordination Actions at friendly check points Actions at road blocks Immediate action drills/reacting to contact SOP development How to stop a vehicle (some TTPs, know your enemy) Combat marksmanship Safety considerations and training methodology Medium shoot (shooting from inside vehicles, through glass, etc) Live-fire imediate action drills Simmunition scenarios

Keltec has the most awesome vehicle for this but he probably does not want to spend the gas to drive it to LA County.

Ok guess we will have to give him an ARCO gas card so we can use the donor vehicle ! Just don't gas up during the wee hours of the morning eh!

Thanks Stan, The gas and practicality is why you never see me with that Land Rover at ASR. Its a gas guzzler, and slow on freeway and there's nothing at ASR my lowered car or sedan can't handle lol. Cars/motorcycles are like tools, drive or ride the one that does the job. I've shot out of the land rover, on top and under while out in the desert. I would worry if someone shot the car during training If its a training where we use our own vehicles and accept the liability of shooting our own car on accident I wouldn't mind. I'm sorry and sure you guys would understand. Not so sure about renting out or using my car as a training prop where it could leave a sour taste in students when any damages arises (bullet holes, scratches, damaging interior from tac gears and weapons etc.) In the C.A.T. school they used tables and chairs to simulate a car lol. Kind of worked unless you plan on having a moving vehicle.
