Hi Stan, For the Surefire line of lights what do you recommend for less than $100 for weapons mounted light on a AR15? They have the G2X PRO on sale for $85 and the Z2-s for $101 on Sale? The Surefire 6PX is slightly more at $103. goinggear.com/flashlights/flashlights?manufacturer=92From the low light carbine class my el-cheapo NexTorch wasn't that great...

Both of those surefire lights are great lights and standard G2 with LED is really all the light you need to get the job done. The standard momentary pressure switch is all you need, I used some with clickers that permanently stayed on but they were bad in that the recoil would engage the switch and would stay on when you didn't want it to. So simpler is better for this job. Like your weapon and optics, you don't want to go too cheap for this emergency management equipment and cheap lights tend to break easily and you'll have to buy again anyways. So the "buy once/cry once" doctrine is sound for this. The funny thing is that Surefire markets from $30 all the way to $500 for carbine use so you have plenty to choose from.
