Of course different people have different ideas about what they are "prepping" for but as either immigrants or children of immigrants ourselves (many of us), we know that leaving the country ASAP is sometimes the best thing to do when a situation gets bad enough.

I agree with you. But leaving a third world country for modern day Rome make sense. Things would have to be really bad if you have to leave the U.S. And if things were that bad, where would it be safe?

Hard to say. Life is very unpredictable. Look at the Jews of Europe in WWII. If you told someone in Weimar Germany in the 1920s that they would have to leave Berlin if they want to live, they would have thought you were nuts.
